A life with room to explore
What if home could move with you?
TODO: link the three practical items above to their own posts once written (all point to /life-on-the-road for now). Draft copy adapted from the approved mockup. TODO: Theresa to confirm. We’re Theresa and Joe. We live and work on the road in a small off-grid cargo trailer, making room for the places and experiences we’ve always wanted to explore.
Here we share how it works: the everyday details, the tradeoffs, and the adventures along the way.
Our story
We wanted more time to see what was out there.
In 2007, we sold our house near Nashville and moved to France. The life we have now took shape over time, as we kept asking what we wanted work, home, and freedom to look like.

The practical side of freedom
Our home
Why a cargo trailer?
The decisions behind our small home, and what we've learned living in it.
Working remotely
Yes, we still work.
Connectivity, client work, and finding a rhythm that leaves time to explore.
Everyday systems
Living off-grid
Power, water, and the everyday logistics behind those beautiful campsites.
Your version might look different.
There's room to begin.
A season away, a few weeks exploring, or a whole new way of living.
